Special Education is a service provided to those students that are determined to be eligible for services through an I.E.P (Individual Education Plan). Enrollment for these services are determined by a team and, through collaboration, decide what is best for the individual student. Courses are taught by Education Specialists and are supported by Special Education Instructional Assistants. Students may be mainstreamed into general education classes depending on their I.E.P. and their accommodations. Special Education students in general education classes receive support/assistance through the Consultation Model. Special Education services include mainstream with consult, Special Day classes, self-contained classes, Speech/Language Services, Orthopedically Handicapped, Workability Program, and Transition Services.
